Head of Data Engineering – Newbridge

We are looking for a talented Head of Data Engineering to lead and execute various data engineering activities, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data engineering systems to support business growth and analytics
  • Lead and manage a team of data engineers to build and maintain data pipelines, architectures, and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and develop solutions
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems
  • Develop and implement data engineering strategies, roadmaps, and best practices
  • Participate in other data engineering activities and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in leading data engineering teams and developing large-scale data systems
  • Strong experience working with large-scale data sets in e-commerce
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala and Python
  • Experience with data engineering tools and technologies, including data pipelines, architectures, and data warehouses
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making
  • Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL tools, such as AWS Glue, Apache Beam, or similar
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP
