Senior Consultant – Automatic Fare Collection

Overview

This role is based in Singapore for a duration of 24 months and requires domain expertise in transit ticketing systems to provide AFC support on urban rail and metro projects in Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in AFC systems across multiple projects, including smart ticketing, contactless payment, and backend clearing systems.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, concept designs, procurement support, and strategic advisory services related to fare collection systems.
  • Act as Works Package Manager for AFC projects, supporting project teams with the review and approval of technical deliverables including design submissions, interface control documents, test plans, and system integration strategies.
  • Facilitate workshops and technical discussions with clients, operators, technology vendors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field registered with Singapore\'s Professional Engineering Board.
  • 10+ years of experience in rail or metro projects, with at least 3 years in AFC or ticketing systems.
  • Proven experience managing contractors and technical deliverables.
  • Familiarity with AFC technologies such as smart card systems, QR code readers, contactless payment, and backend clearing systems.
  • Strong understanding of system integration and interface management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, and flexibility to project needs.
  • Willingness to travel to meet project needs; valid work authorization to work in Singapore.
