Job Description

This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited.

Working Location: We will be relocating to 5 Jalan Samulun in November 2025 (nearest MRT: Boon Lay).

Position Summary: Independently perform the Mechanical design (2D & 3D) and equipment sizing to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within the assigned schedule.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Section Project Lead in day-to-day operations, perform assigned mechanical tasks under quality and schedule, and review and advise on the project’s design mode & standard.
  • Report the project’s daily discipline (Man-hour/Schedule, etc.).
  • Collaborate with team members for the overall progress of the project.
  • Prepare & review machinery calculations, specifications, vendor drawings, 2D SLD/DLD design & submission, 3D models, and related drawings/supports.
  • Support Project Section Lead in Mechanical technical issues and coordinate with shipyard, consultants, and vendors.
  • Handle projects related to new building, repair, upgrading, and conversion.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in machinery newbuilding design in the Marine/Offshore industry.
  • Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Office, AVEVA.
  • Knowledge of Class rules and statutory requirements.
  • Good knowledge of machinery, piping, HVAC design.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Team player with good collaboration skills.
