Senior Mechanical Engineer - Package Equipment Join us at Hanwha Ocean as a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Package Equipment . Position Overview The Senior Mechanical Package Engineer in the Topsides Mechanical Equipment Discipline is responsible for leading complex engineering projects, providing technical guidance, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role involves mentoring junior engineers and acting as a key technical interface with clients and stakeholders. Frequent travel to the US, Europe, and Asia may be required. Key Responsibilities Lead the selection of package equipment/skid/module during conceptual design and conduct studies during engineering phases. Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as specifications, datasheets, RFQs, TBEs for various machinery. Review vendor proposals, attend clarification meetings, and approve vendor data. Provide expertise in Package Engineering during all engineering phases. Participate in risk assessments, factory visits, and develop standards and procedures. Assist in project planning, resolve technical issues, and support junior engineers. Review work for quality and accuracy, troubleshoot technical problems, and participate in design reviews. Coordinate with fabrication, installation, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution. Maintain documentation and prepare project schedules and reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering. At least 10 years of experience in offshore or onshore oil and gas industry. Minimum 5 years’ experience with top-tier FPSO or EPC contractors. Experience with FPSO EPCI projects from engineering to delivery. Hands-on experience in Mechanical or Package engineering, vendor coordination, and project support phases. Field engineering or commissioning experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and problem-solving methods. Leadership skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills in English.
