What The Role Is
The candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on various aspects of health systems, with the aim of measuring and improving healthcare delivery, policymaking, population health initiatives, overall health outcomes of communities and transforming the way that care is delivered. The role involves analyzing healthcare data, identifying social determinants of health, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based strategies for addressing population health challenges.
What The Role Is
The candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on various aspects of health systems, with the aim of measuring and improving healthcare delivery, policymaking, population health initiatives, overall health outcomes of communities and transforming the way that care is delivered. The role involves analyzing healthcare data, identifying social determinants of health, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based strategies for addressing population health challenges.
You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
What You Will Be Working On
- Provide insights and recommendations to inform strategic planning, policy development, and community engagement efforts focused on improving population health outcomes.
- Develop indicators and approaches to measure population health.
- Design and execute research studies to assess the performance, effectiveness, and efficiency of health systems at local, regional, and national levels.
- Analyze population health data to identify disparities, trends, and opportunities for improving the health and well-being of communities served by the healthcare organization.
- Develop and maintain population health performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor key indicators related to chronic disease management, preventive care, and health equity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including public health professionals, community organizations, and healthcare providers to transform the way that care is delivered by assessing and optimizing care pathways, interventions, and programs aimed at addressing population health needs in the context of public health and healthcare policy.
- Utilize predictive modelling and data visualization techniques to forecast population health trends, assess risk factors, and inform targeted interventions for at-risk populations. This could be achieved in the form of ad-hoc analyses or a healthcare atlas.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in public health, health policy, health economics, epidemiology, or a related field with a focus on population health.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, R) for analyzing and visualizing population health data sets. Familiarity with Geospatial Information Systems is a bonus.
- Able to synthesize data points and possess good sense of realities on the ground for social determinants of health, health policy, healthcare delivery systems, global health issues, and population health management strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consider short- and long-term implications when translating population health data into actionable insights and interventions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively identify opportunities for collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including public health professionals, community leaders, and healthcare providers.
- Relevant experience in the healthcare sector, intelligence or strategic planning is advantageous, and will be considered favorably.
