Director, Commercial Solutions Consulting – Asia Pacific

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, driving tangible results for clients through expertise in strategy, payments, data analytics, marketing, and economics. In Asia Pacific (AP), VCA has Geo and Practice Area teams focused on regional delivery and functional topics such as risk, digital, corporate banking, AI, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Regional Practice Development — Shape Visa's Commercial Solutions consulting offerings across Asia Pacific, design reusable assets and solution playbooks, develop thought leadership content, and support market teams with capability building and go-to-market strategies. Act as a subject matter expert contributing to cross-functional initiatives and ensuring high-quality delivery across markets.
  • Project Leadership & Delivery — Lead or support strategic consulting engagements addressing high-impact opportunities in commercial payments across AP, helping clients optimize SMB portfolios, expand Lower Middle Market segments, and identify new verticals to unlock B2B payment flows. Collaborate with data science teams, market consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure actionable, transformative recommendations.
  • Business Development — Contribute to proposal development, guide clients through the sales process, and work with market VCA and account teams to identify and shape new consulting opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Experience and Education — Minimum 12 years of relevant experience (strategy consulting, commercial payments, or financial services). Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's preferred.
  • Consulting and Delivery Excellence — Proven track record in leading complex engagements and delivering strategic insights; ability to synthesize data-driven insights into actionable strategies; experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and high-impact client presentations.
  • Thought Leadership and Practice Development — Ability to develop scalable offerings, reusable assets, and thought leadership content; passion for shaping the future of commercial payments and driving innovation across markets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration — Skilled in navigating matrixed environments and collaborating across functions; strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commercial Acumen and Business Development — Experience identifying client needs, qualifying opportunities, guiding through a consultative sales process, and securing new engagements.
  • Operational Rigor — Familiarity with internal systems for pricing, approvals, and revenue recognition; detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • What will also help — Knowledge of commercial cards and corporate banking, B2B payment trends, and regulatory changes in Asia Pacific and globally.
