Join to apply for the Insurance Manager role at Marsh We are seeking a talented individual to join our Captives team at Marsh Singapore. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. What you will do: Responsible for a portfolio of clients and managing the day-to-day activities of those captive insurance companies. Prepare financial statements accurately and in a timely manner, including supplemental financial information required by the client. Manage complex clients in full-cycle life accounting. Be familiar with international clients' unique rules and regulations. Reconcile cash and investment accounts. Prepare bank deposits and cash disbursements. Assist clients in the full day-to-day activities and requests independently and pro-actively. Plan and complete the annual audit for clients, which can include preparation of regulatory filings and GAAP financial statements. Be knowledgeable or highly knowledgeable in GAAP and guide clients in evaluating and implementing new principles. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance processes and procedures are followed for local accounting and financial reporting. Proactively discuss with clients on any trending regulatory issues or changes. Maintain client files in accordance with regulations and best practices. Have clear communication and relationship-building skills and troubleshoot most client relationship scenarios. Monitor and document team and client activities to prevent and detect problems. Correspond with other service providers, including reviewing, analyzing and discussing any reports provided by the service providers (e.g., actuaries, auditors, claims handlers, etc). Coach, mentor and assist junior or new colleagues in their roles. Review junior colleague work before being sent to clients or other stakeholders. Participate in ongoing global projects such as developing best practices or new policy. Organize, plan and lead board and committee meeting materials and be an active participant in the annual board of directors' meeting and other client meetings. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Comply with Marsh internal controls and any client-specific internal controls. Help establish and implement standardized financial activities and procedures to improve efficiency. Solid understanding of insurance, insurance policies and insurance accounting. What you need to have: Degree/Diploma with minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in underwriting or claims preferred. Attained minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent. ANZIIF or ACII will be an advantage. What makes you stand out: Highly motivated, team player with good interpersonal skills.
