This means investing in talent, technologies, and tools that empower you to own your career.Join MUFG, where being inspired is expected and making a meaningful impact is rewarded.**Purpose of role:**As Business Manager to the Head of Business Risk Management, you will support the design, execution and management of regional strategic objectives across the full department, which includes credit risk advisory and non-financial risk, across the Global Corporate and Investment Banking (“GCIB”) business for MUFG APAC, supporting our strategic direction and providing guidance to key stakeholders to ensure the adoption, embedding and sustainability of the risk and control frameworks.**Job Responsibilities:****Strategic*** Design and execute on key strategic objectives that support the management of key business risks in the APAC region in the First Line of Defence (“1LOD”), including supporting the design of a target operating model for the management of key risk stripes including credit risk, non-compliance risk, operational risk and reputational risk at a local and regional level.* Establish proactive risk identification and management frameworks to enable evaluation of key risk trends for action in a timely manner.* Build meaningful Management Information together with Coverage, Product and Second Line of Defence (“2LOD”) partners to ensure regional management is kept apprised of key risk across the full portfolio for decision making.* Develop and manage frameworks to improve consistency, accuracy and accountability of approach across APAC in 1LOD, including crisis management, reputation risk management and credit risk management.**Financial*** Support the delivery and growth of GCIB APAC business and returns by ensuring that gaps and opportunities for enhancement of processes or efficiency gains are identified and actioned.* Establish and manage frameworks to manage stressed and distressed assets by improving outcomes and mitigating risks in order to minimize credit cost and improve bottom line, and to identify and manage operational, non-compliance and other business risks that have the potential to impact the conduct business activity.* Provide analytical support to teams across BRMD to drive discussions to achieve the department’s objectives.**Customer*** Demonstrate a deep understanding of GCIB APAC business clients and drivers.* Partner with different business teams across the GCIB APAC region across both 1LOD and 2LOD to become a trusted advisor, able to identify current and emerging risks from our client portfolio and business activities to ensure that our risk/reward objectives are met and delivering optimal risk management outcomes for our clients and our bank.**People*** Collaborate across 1LOD and 2LOD teams in APAC including Coverage, Credit, Risk and Compliance to create consistency across the GCIB platform for all business risks, leveraging on existing frameworks and introducing enhancements where necessary.* Strengthen partnerships with both APAC and non-APAC credit divisions to build global connectivity and consistency, refining credit risk governance roles & responsibilities between 1LOD and 2LOD.**Other/ Control*** Enhance risk awareness and strengthen risk culture across business, sector and product coverage teams in 1LOD* Design, lead or coordinate for risk and compliance training as and when required.* Facilitate audit and testing engagements of the GCIB APAC business when required.**Job Requirements:*** Degree Qualification.* Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services and corporate banking.* Minimum 10 years of experience in audit, regulatory compliance, risk management or management consultancy.* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and proven experience in influencing stakeholders* Minimum 7 years of experience managing end-to-end projects, including planning, execution, monitoring and delivery within specific timelines* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and experience in analyzing complex data sets.* Detailed and solution oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and make timely, sound/informed decisions#LI-DNIMitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is an equal opportunity employer.
