Overview

EC1 Partners is partnering with a leading global trading firm to hire a C++ Developer . This is a senior role focused on building and optimising high-performance trading systems used across global markets.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a high-frequency trading platform, collecting quotes and trades and disseminating orders to global exchanges.
  • Optimise the platform using advanced network and systems programming techniques to minimise latency.
  • Develop systems for historical market data access and trading simulations.
  • Create tools to analyse data for trading patterns.
  • Build risk management and performance tracking tools.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of C++ development experience, ideally within a trading or financial markets environment.
  • Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming in C++.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and experience working in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong business-level communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of Linux operating systems and networking (TCP/IP, UDP) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Python and shell scripting a plus.
