(Deputy) Product Director Strategic Market Payroll Reporting to CTO Location Singapore Department Product & Technology Role Overview We are looking for a (Deputy) Director of Product Strategic Markets Payroll to lead the Companys payroll product strategy in key geographies. This leadership role will be responsible for setting the vision driving the roadmap and ensuring execution of payroll enhancements that strengthen Companys position as the leading pan-Asia payroll provider. The person will work across technology, business and go-to-market functions to ensure our payroll product not only meets compliance and operational needs but also delivers a superior client experience. Key Responsibilities Set the Strategy & Roadmap: Define and drive the product strategy for payroll in priority strategic markets aligning with Companys global vision and long-term growth objectives. Lead Execution with R&D: Partner with engineering and R&D leaders to ensure roadmap delivery balancing compliance requirements, market needs and scalable product design. Voice of the Customer: Establish systematic processes for gathering customer insights, requests and feedback ensuring continuous improvement of payroll capabilities. Drive GTM Strategy: Collaborate with regional sales, marketing and customer success teams to craft and execute go-to-market plans that maximize adoption and revenue impact. Market & Competitive Intelligence: Track global and regional payroll trends, compliance changes and competitor offerings to keep Company ahead in innovation and market relevance. Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders ensuring alignment across product, R&D operations and business units. Scale & Expand: Identify opportunities to expand payroll product coverage and integrations, driving long-term scalability and differentiation in the APAC and global markets. Requirements Experience: 10 years in product management with at least 35 years in a leadership role overseeing payroll/HRMS or enterprise SaaS products. Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of payroll processes, compliance frameworks and regional variations (APAC and/or other key strategic markets). Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to set long-term product direction, influence senior stakeholders and manage complex cross-functional initiatives. Execution Excellence: Demonstrated success in leading product development teams and delivering complex product roadmaps with measurable outcomes. Customer Orientation: Strong track record of incorporating customer feedback into product evolution. GTM Partnership: Experience working closely with sales and marketing teams on product positioning, launch strategies and market adoption. Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate market trends and data into actionable insights and business impact.
