Maintenance Manager

• As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods. You will be tasked with carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults. Your role will involve diagnosing breakdown problems, fitting new parts, and ensuring equipment is working correctly. It will be your responsibility to carry out quality inspections on jobs and liaise with client departments, customers, and other engineering and production colleagues.You will be arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components and controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment. Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs will also be part of your duties, along with dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs. You will play a key role in improving health and safety policies and procedures and working with specialist equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) that control machinery on factory assembly lines.Furthermore, you will be responsible for writing maintenance strategies to assist with installation and commissioning guidelines. Ensuring continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns will be crucial in this role.To excel in this position, you should possess business skills as you may be required to manage budgets, lead a team, and liaise with suppliers. Having the capacity to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures will be essential. You must also demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate others, work effectively in a team, and communicate with individuals at all levels. Negotiation and persuasion skills, along with good diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, are important. Your confidence to respond positively under pressure and strong people management skills will also be valuable assets.,
