What the role is: You lead and provide psychological care, as well as develop and implement programmes to maintain and enhance the psychological well‑being of MINDEF/SAF servicemen. What you will be working on: Monitor and conduct periodic interviews, including basic counselling and management plans. Support servicemen requiring professional mental health support. Ensure optimal deployment, support, and management of servicemen to maintain psychological readiness. Advise and train commanders and supervisors on managing psychological health challenges in the workplace. Influence policy decisions related to psychological health at the unit level. Work with personnel on a one-to-one basis. Professionally develop junior psychologists under your charge. Challenges Encouraging servicemen to seek help when in distress. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the field of psychological health. Maintaining personal mental well‑being while dealing with potentially emotionally draining cases. What we are looking for: Education in Psychology. At least 6 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of national‑level psychological and social services policies and resources is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with external agencies. Independent and innovative thinking. Passion for growing the practice of psychology within MINDEF/SAF. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
