Job Description This position is responsible for all multi‑country payroll activities within the company, ensuring accurate, timely data is provided to the outsourced vendor. The APAC and ANZ payroll specialist’s objectives include accurate and timely employee payments, payroll deductions for taxes and statutory payments, benefits, and other items to respective parties. The role also ensures internal controls over payroll processes, asset protection, and privacy of employee data. Additionally, the position ensures compliance with all current and future payroll laws and regulations for each country within those regions. Responsibilities Perform day‑to‑day payroll processing activities. Process payroll data in accordance with prescribed timetables. Ensure vendors accurately prepare earnings statements and pay wages for employees in assigned countries. Follow payroll‑related compliance and internal controls. Resolve payroll problems and investigate discrepancies. Respond to all internal and external inquiries on payroll, social insurance, and taxation. Identify and present solutions for continuous process improvement; attend training, workshops, and knowledge sessions quarterly. Build and foster “customer” relationships with key business partners, both internal and external. Perform payroll audits and collaborate with internal and external agencies. Report any identified payroll or compliance issues to the Regional Payroll Manager, APAC and ANZ. Document and maintain payroll procedures manual. Provide support during payroll and time & attendance transition/implementation activities. Partner and support key stakeholders in local and global payroll teams. Qualifications Formal Education Recommended: Payroll certifications preferred. Ideally holds GCE Advanced Level or equivalent in Business, Finance or Administration. Knowledge & Experience 3+ years of multi‑country payroll experience with knowledge of garnishments, benefits, taxes, social security, local legislations, time & attendance collection. Teamwork and collaboration oriented with a commitment to excellence. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities. Demonstrated ability to manage change and re‑engineer processes. Organized, self‑motivated, detail oriented, and able to shift priorities. Strong commitment to customer service. Preferred: Project management or system implementation experience. Technical / Skill Requirements Understanding of all aspects of multi‑country payroll processes and related systems, including benefits, taxes, social security and time & attendance collection. Ability to review regulatory publications and assess impacts of new legislation. Computer savvy with working Microsoft Office skills. Malaysians may also apply and will be under the Malaysia entities payroll.
