DEPUTY / ASSISTANT ROAD SYSTEM SAFETY MANAGER
OverviewRole focused on enhancing road user safety initiatives for LTA, including safety audits and inspections of roads, cycling infrastructure and bus interchange projects to identify potential safety concerns. Provide technical advice on road safety matters to project teams and consultants, strengthen safety governance framework, research best international road safety practices, and improve LTA road design standards and practice. Help deliver safety training courses and promotional events for industry stakeholders, contribute safety news articles, and develop guidebooks to build awareness and capability.
Responsibilities- Conduct safety audits and inspections of roads, cycling infrastructure and bus interchange projects to identify potential safety concerns.
- Provide technical advice on road safety matters to project teams and consultants.
- Strengthen safety governance framework and research best international road safety practices.
- Improve LTA road design standards and practice.
- Deliver safety training courses and promotional events for industry stakeholders.
- Contribute safety news articles and develop guidebooks to build awareness and capability.
- Knowledge in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or Traffic Engineering
- Familiar with international and local road design standards
- Practical experience in road design, traffic management and road safety engineering is preferred
- Good written and spoken communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work well in a team with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Initiative, good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, observational skills and decision-making abilities
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, BIM, AI tools and specialised traffic modelling software will be an added advantage
- Possess a Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage
