We are now seeking a talented and driven Digital Marketing Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Content, Events and Channels, this role will play a key part in shaping and executing our digital marketing strategy across digital channels, including web, social, and email. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in social media management, SEO, and digital advertising, while also providing data-driven insights and analytics. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives on optimising digital presence and driving engagement through strategic content and targeted media.
At the core, this role contributes to our vision of ending plastic waste leakage into the environment, growing our credibility and influence with stakeholders that matter, specifically governments, civil society organisations and think tanks. Roles & Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy, including web, social media, SEO, and email marketing.
- Provide channel expertise across all digital platforms, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the Alliance website, ensuring an excellent user experience and optimal performance through regular updates and SEO best practices.
- Work closely with external agencies to coordinate and oversee the day-to-day execution of web development, paid media campaigns, and social media content.
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of social media content, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging aligned with our brand identity.
- Oversee media buying across digital platforms, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on the performance of digital campaigns, delivering insights and recommendations to optimise performance and achieve KPIs.
- Stay up-to-date on digital marketing trends, tools, and innovations, identifying opportunities for growth and improvements.
- Collaborate with the team and cross-functionally to ensure integrated digital campaigns and seamless user experiences across all platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, paid media, and email marketing.
- Experience managing website content and optimising for UX/UI, with a strong focus on user-centred design principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently, with a strong sense of ownership over their work.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, particularly when managing media buys and campaign budgets.
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to new challenges and fast-moving trends in digital marketing.
- Positive attitude and resilience in the face of tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in digital media, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in digital marketing and content creation, ideally within a corporate or B2B environment.
- Experience managing website platforms (preferably Webflow) and optimising websites for user experience (UX) and SEO.
- Proven experience managing and optimising paid media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta etc.
- Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and social media management platforms.
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and SEO optimisation.
- Regional or international experience, preferably in the non-profit or sustainability sector.
