The Opportunity The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) is looking for a Manager (Communications) to support the development and execution of CIG’s communications strategy. The candidate will be part of a small team which also supports specific aspects of overall business and organisational strategy execution, such as fundraising and organisational brand-building efforts. Key Responsibilities Some of the specific job responsibilities are listed below: Drive the development and execution of CIG’s communications strategy, which could include tactics and plans for improving website traffic and engagement, social media reach and engagement, expanding CIG’s thought leadership, strategic media engagement, etc. Drive CIG’s brand-building and marketing efforts, which could include developing new collaterals and enhancing existing ones Support Deputy Director (Strategy and Partnerships) and CIG Senior Management in other cross-cutting organisational strategy, communications and branding matters, where relevant Experience and Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in a role related to government consulting, public sector training programmes, and/or knowledge products for government practitioners Proven track record in strong written communication and working with raw data to inform analysis and strategy development Prior experience in government and/or communications would be an advantage Skills and Aptitudes The Strategy and Partnerships team operates at a fast pace while maintaining high standards in work quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate should demonstrate: A commitment to excellence and willingness to learn. You should be proactive about ensuring that work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines. You will need to be willing and able to learn through hands-on experience and take on board feedback constructively to improve An ability to effectively multi-task and manage several concurrent workstreams and timelines, whilst still paying close attention to detail Native fluency in English (written and spoken), with a strong flair for expression. You will be required to develop materials and collaterals that effectively and persuasively communicate CIG’s work and impact Adaptability and resourcefulness, being able to find creative solutions to new challenges and opportunities, even if these extend beyond your specific job scope A strong belief in our mission and goals, with the willingness to learn and grow alongside the organisation This position is based in Singapore, and reports directly to the Deputy Director (Strategy and Partnerships).
