Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, upgrade, and deployment of clinical IT systems in close collaboration with end-users and vendors.
  • Manage the annual IT roadmap, including procurement activities and overall project delivery.
  • Serve as a Credentialed Trainer and conduct onboarding sessions for new clinical system users.
  • Review and evaluate system change requests, resolve technical issues, and implement necessary configuration updates.
  • Ensure secure and efficient integration between internal and external systems.
  • Drive improvements in system functionality, focusing on cloud adoption and workflow automation.
  • Manage departmental IT assets and coordinate requirements for data analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee vendor contracts while ensuring adherence to SOPs and compliance with audit standards.
  • Identify, recommend, and deploy digital or AI-based solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in monitoring performance metrics and supporting process improvement efforts.
  • Participate in interdepartmental and cross-institutional informatics initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in informatics, systems support, or healthcare IT.
  • Prior experience with EPIC systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong expertise in: (a) Cloud computing principles; (b) DICOM, HL7, and LAN/WAN networking; (c) Internet and system connectivity protocols.
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and budget management.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and firewall administration.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-changing environment.
