Assistant Vice President-IT Procurement (12 months contract) Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement, you will work closely with Global Category Lead and Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement by contributing to the end‑to‑end category management and strategy development, including sourcing execution, contract negotiation, and supplier management processes. Your role is pivotal in identifying and realizing cost‑saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category across all MUFG business units. Responsibilities Ensure all sourcing strategy documents are developed for key spend areas to provide a planned, market‑driven approach to sourcing. Lead and support sourcing activities through the utilization of applicable corporate policies. Conduct supplier financial review, initiate and maintain purchase agreements, and supplier business reviews. Identify, lead, and execute cost‑saving initiatives that deliver value in the IT procurement of goods and services for APAC ASO. Ensure deep understanding of business needs to support market analysis and cost benchmarking by spend category. Stay abreast of commodity prices that are significant drivers in the cost of products and the impact that commodity cost changes have on unit cost. Work with Global & Regional Category leads to formulate negotiation plans. Establish a long‑term category plan to drive value across the enterprise for the assigned spend area. Develop and prepare periodic reports on all IT procurement activities. This role is essential to the efficiency and success of our organization. Requirements Minimum three years of procurement/contract management/vendor management experience with a focus on IT. Experience in technology procurement and analytical software. Experience in business management and strategic sourcing. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Accounting. Professional certifications in sourcing/procurement/supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPPM, CPM) are advantages. Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Performance‑driven with proven success working effectively in cross‑functional teams in an international environment. Competent in formulating supplier negotiation strategies to address commercial and contractual aspects, including boilerplates and KPIs/SLAs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
