With the help of technology, we provide a one-stop service including global asset allocation, legal and tax advisory, and research and investment in cutting-edge global industries for technology millionaires.Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Head of Equity Research to lead a team of 4-5 equity analysts, focusing on in-depth research of the technology sector (e.g., Internet, Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors, software and hardware industries). The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of buy-side or sell-side research experience, a deep understanding of technology industries such as Internet, semiconductors, AI, and cloud computing, and proven leadership and investment decision-making capabilities.Key Responsibilities Team Management & Research Leadership Build, coach, and manage a team of 4-5 equity analysts, optimizing research processes and enhancing overall output quality. Define research directions, assign coverage areas, and ensure comprehensive coverage of key technology companies listed in Hong Kong and the U.S. Guide the team in producing in-depth company analysis, industry trend research, and strategic investment reports. Investment Strategy & Decision-Making Develop sector investment strategies based on team research findings and present recommendations to the investment committee or clients. Lead thematic research initiatives, manage investment pacing, and oversee portfolio allocation. Review and approve investment strategies for key companies, including valuation assessments and rating adjustments. Investment Advisory & Decision Support Lead the team in delivering clear, professional research insights to clients, supporting their investment judgment and decision-making. Internal & External Collaboration Collaborate closely with investment counsellors and other analysts, providing guidance on equity investments. Communicate thematic research outputs externally to enhance product transparency and client experience. Represent the team in reporting market outlooks and research findings to senior management. Qualifications Educational Background Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. CFA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualifications preferred. Professional Experience Minimum 10 years of Hong Kong/U.S. equity research experience covering technology sectors , with a background in buy-side (funds, asset management) or sell-side (brokerage, investment banking). At least 3 years of equity research team management experience. Deep expertise in technology sectors (e.g., Internet, semiconductors, AI, SaaS, hardware) with an established industry network. Language skills in English and Mandarin are required for effective communication with clients and stakeholders in both languages. Preferred Qualifications Previous leadership role in technology sector research at a top-tier buy-side institution. Prior industry experience in technology companies (e.g., Internet, semiconductor firms).
