Company Description

WRKS Games is an independent developer and publisher of games. We are one of the few entities in gaming that is self-financing, founder-owned, and sustainable. Started in 2017 in London with a USD 650k investment from the founder, we have gradually tested our way to success in the changing game industry landscape.

We are now profitable, headquartered in Singapore, and in a growth phase, expecting to reach our first million in profit this year. We have recently hired our first 7 employees in Singapore and plan to scale to 100 within 5 years, with an office setup here.

This role is ideally suited for a Singapore permanent resident or citizen.

Compensation

The role will start as a fractional position and evolve into a full-time role.

Fractional period: SGD 300/day

Full-time rate: SGD 9000/month + profit share + equity package

Role Description

The Chief Financial Officer will oversee global financial operations, including Treasury, M&A, Investment, and preparing for a public listing.

During the fractional period, focus will be on financial modelling, planning, leading IPO and listing processes with Singapore Exchange, and representing the company's financial interests.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years in the game or content industry (movies, TV, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience managing an IPO process is a plus
  • Excellent management and leadership skills in mid-size and large companies
  • Experience in valuations and M&A deals is mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferably one other Asian language
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and in an office
  • Strong existing contacts in the investment and finance sector in Asia is a plus
  • Master's Degree in Business or Finance; an MBA is a plus
