Overview Vice President, Insider Threat Investigations, Global Information Security, Australia. Bank of America seeks a veteran insider threat investigator to join the Cyber Security Operations (CSO) function within Global Information Security. The role conducts data analysis of insider threat auditing and monitoring resources, performs investigations, and collaborates with experts across regions to implement proactive controls and monitoring to detect and mitigate insider risks. What You Will Do Conduct investigations by analyzing and verifying information through various investigative techniques, internal resources, and conversations/interviews with persons of interest; Complete written reports in compliance with current reporting procedures and policies. Write detailed, concise, and accurate reports; Manage high risk regional information security incidents by working with response partners and other risk teams; Utilize next generation tools and technology to conduct deep behavioral analytics assessments/investigations to mitigate insider threats; Collect and analyze data from various applications to fulfill an investigation/support request; Document each stage of the investigation with clear and concise notes; Adjust communication style based on audience (non-technical included); Collaborate with other teams to drive resolution to investigations across multiple regions/countries; Effectively multi-task between several competing efforts; Maintain awareness of industry challenges and advancements to enhance processes and technologies. Your background 5+ years’ work experience with an insider threat focus or a technical background related to insider risk components; Curiosity, diversity of thought, critical thinking, willingness to learn, and persistence to identify risk; Methodical approach to utilizing technical tools and applications; Familiarity with Splunk, ENCASE, CrowdStrike and other investigative/monitoring tools; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for various audiences; Mindset of curiosity and willingness to learn new things; Excellent organizational skills to manage caseloads, projects, and ad hoc requests; Experience conducting complex investigations with an Insider Threat emphasis; Knowledge of computer forensics; Familiarity with participating and driving incident response events. Desired Skills Understanding of human behavior or investigative background; Technical experience with information security/data loss prevention tools or controls (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM) and data correlation engines; Extensive experience in Splunk, ENCASE, CrowdStrike, and similar tools; Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CEH, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, EnCE, and other cyber security related certifications; Familiarity with OSINT sleuthing; Familiarity with cloud environments; Networking/system administration experience; Experience with scripting languages for databases; Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
