Backed by strong financial support and headquartered in Singapore, the company is developing an enterprise-grade solution that features a 3D virtual human to serve as an intelligent HR partner. They are rapidly expanding their team and are seeking a highly capable Technical Project Manager to drive product delivery, ensure cross-functional coordination, and enable successful execution across the engineering, data, and product functions.
The RoleAs the Technical Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing project execution across the AI, application, and data engineering teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of complex software components, aligning stakeholders, managing technical milestones, and facilitating efficient communication. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role requiring both technical acumen and strong project leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Project Ownership: Plan, manage, and track all technical deliverables across AI, application, and data engineering workstreams.
- Agile Implementation: Establish and drive Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and unblock teams.
- Timeline & Milestone Management: Define realistic timelines and deliverables; proactively manage changes in scope, risks, and priorities.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; communicate project progress, risks, and blockers effectively.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and organized documentation on project plans, decisions, risks, and post-mortems.
- Quality & Delivery Focus: Ensure alignment between delivery pace and technical quality standards, working with engineering leads to uphold best practices.
- Tooling & Efficiency: Own project management tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, Confluence) and improve team velocity through better workflows and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in software development environments.
- 4+ years of experience in technical project management within fast-paced product/engineering environments.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Notion).
- Proven experience managing cross-functional software development teams (ideally including AI/ML, data, and application engineers).
- Strong technical literacy and ability to engage with engineers on system design, architecture, and trade-offs.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing projects in the AI/ML, data engineering, or SaaS domain.
- Familiarity with tools and services in the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure DevOps, ADF, Azure OpenAI).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMP certification.
- Experience working in startup or product-build-from-scratch environments.
