CIX is seeking a Market Operations and Business Analyst to join a cohesive, highly motivated team in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will support operations, conduct business analysis for all CIX platforms and services, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify business changes and regulatory developments. The individual will report to the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct trade operations including settlement, dispute resolution, and reconciliation.
- Ensure cash and credit balance reconciliations are cleared and documented.
- Develop and implement controls to enhance market operations.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of all platforms.
- Support regular and ad hoc reporting for all products.
- Create and maintain static and market data related to CIX clients and products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align systems and processes for pre- and post-trade activities.
- Conduct client onboarding, including AML/KYC checks.
- Manage and respond to client support queries.
- Assist in documenting business requirements, workflows, and process changes.
- Develop flow diagrams, checklists, and operational guides for new or updated processes.
- Manage Jira tickets, document issues, track progress, and coordinate with technology teams.
- Participate in testing new platform releases (UAT), document results, and raise defects as needed.
- Suggest process improvements based on observed pain points.
- 1-5 years of professional experience in the financial services industry, preferably within exchange market operations.
- Knowledge of exchange-traded products, back-office processes, and familiarity with carbon credits or environmental trading assets is a plus.
- Understanding of KYC and AML practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging market participants.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and lean environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (technology, product, compliance).
- Background in business analysis, process mapping, or operational workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
