NTU Institute of Structure Biology (NISB) provides a complete pipeline for Structural Biology to accelerate discovery in basic and applied bioscience. We are seeking a Research Assistant or Research Associate to support the protein expression platform and contribute to general laboratory operations. The role specifically focuses on protein expression activities within the platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform protein expression and purification using various expression systems.
  • Conduct macromolecule functional characterization and binding analysis experiments.
  • Prepare reports for clients and participate in result discussions.
  • Support general platform operations, including safety and risk assessments, equipment maintenance, procurement, billing, and other related tasks.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification are highly preferred. Experience with insect or mammalian cell systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • A strong interest in scientific research and a proactive approach to learning and innovation.
