Coupang Play is an OTT video streaming service delivering Original Series, Movies, Sports, and more. We are building a world-class team to deliver exceptional storytelling across Web, SmartTV, Android, and iOS platforms, leveraging engineering, product, design, and machine learning to refine the customer experience.

What You Will Do
  • Lead with vision: provide technical and strategic leadership across multiple CX engineering teams, ensuring design decisions are well-informed and aligned with both tactical execution and long-term product goals.
  • Innovate in user experience and engagement: drive development of personalized content discovery, immersive sports viewing, and community-driven features to grow user engagement.
  • Deliver high-impact features: collaborate with engineering, product, and design to build and launch high-quality, user-facing features across Web, SmartTV, iOS, and Android; manage key feature releases.
  • Grow and empower global teams: build and lead CX engineering teams across Seoul and Singapore, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performance engineering organizations.
  • Strong ability to drive engineering discipline, define technical roadmaps, promote engineering excellence, and align execution with product goals.
  • Ability to clarify ambiguous feature requirements into clear, actionable engineering tasks, identify cross-team complexities, and lead design, implementation, and QA to deliver high-quality features.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to user-facing features; actively incorporate user feedback to improve the product experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing large-scale, consumer-facing products in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience delivering technical innovations for OTT services.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
