eCommerce Engineering is responsible for Coupang core eCommerce services, as well as new emerging business services Coupang constantly invest to wow our customers, like Coupang Eats, Coupang Fresh...etc. Our vision is to build the world class eCommerce Platform by obsessing over reliable and effortlessly shopping experiences, through a highly productive engineering team. The Pricing team is one of the core pillars of Coupang’s business and is responsible for helping determine the price of every product sold on Coupang. As the Pricing team is responsible for serving hundreds of millions of requests every day our mission is to build and maintain highly scalable and extensible platforms that is also highly availability and robust.

As part of our Pricing team, you will directly architect and implement our next generation pricing determination platforms. You will help the team to bring industry best practices in software development and operations while improving their engineering skills to build pioneering e-commerce experience in new global markets. Working closely with a group of engineers in multiple geographic locations, you’ll solve challenge problems at scale with high reliability. Your efforts will directly have an impact on tens of millions of users every single day

• Hands on engineering leader with deep understanding of open source stack and distributed systems
• Design layered application, drive the highest quality of architecture and design of purchase/logistic systems
• Align with PO and business to understand the problem and come out solution, and align with stakeholders and lead engineers on mission critical projects to resolve complex business problem
• Draw a roadmaps and vision for the scalable and robust growth of the merchant platform to support business growth
• Collaborate with other Coupang tech teams to make the service extensible to unlock opportunities for innovations

• Excellent communication skills, good read/write skills in English
• Exceptional deep dive skills and someone who is bar raiser for engineering excellence
• At least 12+ years working experience on software design & development
• Good experience on distributed system and rich experience developing large scale enterprise
• Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with frequent and on-time
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

This position will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require sponsorship of a visa.
