Principle Supply Chain Data Scientist

• As a Manager, Supply Chain Data Scientist at the Digital Supply Chain Team at MKS, you will collaborate with various departments such as Procurement, Category Management, Material Planning, Logistics, Finance, Lean Excellence, and IT to play a crucial role in integrating functional and technical aspects of supply chain digital enablement. Your primary objective will be to address and enhance some of the most intricate constraints and challenges within the global supply chain domain. By introducing advanced analytics capabilities and employing data analysis methodologies, you will lead analytics projects to facilitate the enhancement of supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating analytics solutions, implementing analytics tools, conducting data analytics and modeling, and producing comprehensive reports to offer valuable insights to senior management for informed decision-making. This role will directly report to the Director, Digital Supply Chain Transformation.Your key responsibilities will include:- Implementing analytics platform, data integration, and modeling to elevate supply chain maturity.- Acquiring, cleaning, and analyzing supply chain data from diverse sources while ensuring data accuracy.- Creating and managing dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to provide actionable insights into supply chain functions.- Performing detailed analysis to evaluate business operations data and supply chain performance.- Engaging with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain constraints, as well as support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives.- Contributing to data science and analytics projects aimed at optimizing the supply chain through predictive/prescriptive analytics and machine learning.- Communicating risk mitigation strategies and improvement proposals to executive stakeholders.- Expected travel requirement: Up to 15% of the time.Key skills and qualifications required:- Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, supply chain management, or related field; or equivalent experience.- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.- Proficiency in analytics and data analysis tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and SQL. Familiarity with other BI tools like Tableau is a plus.- Experience with data science techniques and tools including AWS, Python, R, Azure AI Studio, and machine learning frameworks.- Strong communication skills essential for engagement with senior leadership.- Ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams, demonstrating ownership of issues.- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the semiconductor industry.- Proficiency in English.Preferred skills (optional):- Comprehensive business knowledge and experience in business analytics related to end-to-end supply chain operations.- Proficiency in extended ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced planning solutions.- Experience in managing global projects using Agile methodologies from initiation to implementation.Physical demands and working conditions:- Activities include sitting, standing, and typing for extended periods.- Ability to remain stationary for 90% of the time.- Effective communication of information and ideas.- Observation of documents and details at close range.- Operation in a professional office or laboratory/manufacturing environment.- Constant use of a computer and other office equipment.,
