Provide chemistry and/or microbiological testing services in a laboratory or cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine microbiology/chemistry testing services using established procedures/protocols. Support testing by following procedures in validation/revalidation activities for critical systems and sterilization equipment.
  2. Conduct preliminary investigations and document findings; collaborate with Microbiologist/Chemist on root cause analysis for product/sample failures and Out-of-Specifications (OOS).
  3. Perform validation and re-validation of laboratory equipment according to established protocols.
  4. Update operating procedures and validation protocols/reports as needed.
  5. Enter data and analyze trends of routine microbial/chemistry testing results for review by Microbiologist/Chemist.
  6. Review and follow work instructions and SOPs, ensuring traceability in device history records.
  7. Perform other incidental duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:

Required or preferred qualifications include:

  • In NITEC or equivalent in a related science field, with 3 years of laboratory experience (Required).
  • In Higher NITEC or equivalent in a related science field, with 2 years of laboratory experience (Required).
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in a related science field, with 1 year of laboratory experience (Preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related science field (Preferred).
Additional Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and writing English; good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety standards and Quality guidelines, especially in a cleanroom medical device manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Compliance with company rules, pandemic protocols, and safety measures to prevent injuries and environmental impact.
