The Lien Centre for Palliative Care ("LCPC") in Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore, is a leading palliative care research and educational Centre in the region. With generous support from the Lien Foundation and strategic collaborations with local and regional partners, LCPC is poised for significant growth in the coming years. To meet the goals of the Centre, LCPC is recruiting a Research Fellow whose focus is on optimising care for patients with serious illnesses. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary faculty within the Duke‑NUS Medical School, SingHealth Foundation, and with local and regional collaborators. Job Description Develop and lead an independent research agenda focusing on quality measurement in palliative care via successful national and international grants. Lead the development of patient‑reported outcome and experience measures in patients with advanced illnesses. Design and conduct implementation science research Develop patient decision aids Utilize qualitative and quantitative methodologies to support grant/protocol development, study design, and management of research activities. Collaborate with LCPC faculty and establish partnerships across Singapore and regional communities for collaborative projects related to palliative care in global health. Write and review research papers, present research outcomes and develop connections with local and international palliative care stakeholders. Guide junior researchers and cross‑disciplinary team members Providing mentorship to Duke‑NUS students. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Job Requirements Master’s Degree in Behavioural Health Sciences, Palliative Care, or other relevant fields, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience Proven track record of both quantitative and qualitative research expertise in instrument development. Experienced in survey methods, including survey development, design, and administration. Proficient in statistical software techniques using STATA, R or similar software. Self‑starter with demonstrated ability to form collaborations and lead cross‑disciplinary teams with minimal supervision. Proven success in time‑management and project management abilities. Experienced in patient and clinician engagement and project management, specifically in populations with palliative care needs. Professional proficiency in English and valuable if knowledgeable in other Asian languages. *We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
