• Support the HW R&D teams, by hands-on assembly of prototypes and providing feedback regarding manufacturability, ease of assembly and cost
• Support outsourcing of R&D project designs to serial production suppliers
• Work closely together with our production sites (in Malaysia and China) providing support on technical topics and quality issues
• Define needed test tools to ensure the required quality during production for CIP and running production
• Maintain and provide technical support for (module) test systems installed base (at company premises and suppliers) to ensure smooth continuation of equipment and module in serial production
• Assemble and validate new (module) test equipment
• Technical Support
• Provide technical support for Quality and purchasing department
• Conduct EVT (electrical verification tests) for newly developed modules and supplier relocations
• Creates and sustain production documentation: WI (Work Instruction) / TI (Test Instruction) / ASSIN (Assembly Instruction) ASSCH (Assembly Checklist and measurement protocols, etc.)
• Support Change Control process to keep machine BOM-lists up to date

Manufacturing Engineering

• Continuous Improvement Projects;

• MS-Office (WI = Work Instructions / TI = Test Instructions)
• PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) = ERP / SAP (Logistics)
• Lotus Notes (Change Control, assembly instruction database)
  

Requirements
Education

• Degree in Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent)
  

Work Experience

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in a Mechatronic or Robotics environment
• Experience with sophisticated Module and Machine assembly
• Experience with system debugging / troubleshooting (or willing to learn)
• Experience with writing and/or modifying scripting (f.e. Python) is a pre
  

Expertise and methodology

• Passion for Quality
• Knowledgeable in Mechanical, Electrical & Pneumatic design principles
• Good manufacturing know how
• Interest in Mechatronic systems
• Interest in administrational tasks (WI updates, CC process, EVT reporting)
• Experience with PLM software is a pre
