Live What you will do The Senior Manager Technology – SEA Site Lead is a pivotal role responsible for driving the technology strategy and operational excellence in the South East Asia (SEA) region – with key focus on SEA markets Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, plus Hong Kong and India. This role serves as a strategic partner to the commercial business, ensuring the delivery of innovative technology solutions that align with global and regional goals while meeting the unique needs of SEA affiliates. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a results-driven mindset to foster collaboration, enable growth, and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role is critical to ensuring that the SEA region is positioned at the forefront of digital transformation, leveraging technology to drive growth and enhance operational effectiveness. By aligning local needs with regional & global strategies, the Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving Amgen’s strategic objectives and delivering value to stakeholders across the region. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a clear and actionable Technology strategy tailored to the SEA region, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution to ensure outcomes are achieved Align the SEA strategy with regional/global objectives, ensuring synergy between local, regional, and global priorities. Evaluate and articulate the value and expected outcomes of proposed technology investments and decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering measurable ROI. Serve as a thought leader, staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends, and driving their adoption to create business value. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Proactively engage with affiliate leadership and key stakeholders to understand priorities, align on goals, and foster collaboration. Act as a proactive and critical business partner, collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities where technology can drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. Act as the primary point of contact for technology-related initiatives in SEA, ensuring clear and consistent communication. Implement a robust communication strategy to regularly update stakeholders on progress, challenges, and outcomes. Operational Excellence Oversee the delivery of technology initiatives across SEA, directly managing and executing these initiatives to ensure they are on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Problem Solving and Innovation Identify challenges and opportunities, proposing innovative and practical solutions to meet business needs. Promote a culture of proactive problem-solving, encouraging teams to address issues with agility and creativity. Technical Expertise Lead the adoption of advanced digital technologies such as AI, data analytics, and CRM platforms. Ensure the effective use of tools and platforms, maximizing the value of technology investments. Collaborate with global and regional technical teams to address specific needs and implement scalable solutions. Team Leadership and Collaboration Provide independent leadership in a matrix organization, working closely with local, regional, and global teams to achieve alignment and execute initiatives without direct reports. Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative work environment without formal direct. Accountability and Results Orientation Take ownership of delivering tangible outcomes, defining clear metrics for success. Ensure accountability at all levels, meeting timelines and quality expectations for key initiatives. Win What we expect of you Essential Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals or biotechnology. Proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes and demonstrate value in previous technology leadership roles, with examples of how initiatives drove business impact. Strong expertise in CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce), digital marketing tools, and data analytics platforms. Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align with diverse stakeholders. Experience managing complex projects, budgets, and vendor relationships. Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern practices such as DevOps and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development. Desirable Certified in relevant technologies (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva). Experience in digital transformation and omnichannel engagement strategies. Exposure to healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements. Competencies Strong ability to assess and communicate the business value and strategic benefits of technology investments and decisions to stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with a focus on delivering actionable outcomes. Ability to inspire and lead teams in a matrix environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.
