Vice President / Assistant Vice President (Technology Infrastructure) The VP/AVP (Technology Infrastructure) reports to the SVP, Technology. The VP/AVP (Technology Infrastructure) manages and oversees the Technology Infrastructure team to effectively maintain and support the Company’s Technology Infrastructure in order to meet the demands of a 24x7, Mission Critical IT system. Roles and Responsibilities Operations EMC systems availability is above 99.9% for the Technology Infrastructure (end-to-end). Incidents resolved within 6 BD > 80% - Incidents resolved within 10 BD = 100%. Ensure the upkeep/maintenance of the SGX Office and Data Centres facilities. Review Operations Management Plans to ensure proper service management annually. Review and approve changes/enhancement deployment (UAT/Production/DR environments). Plan, review procedures and conduct DRP and BCP exercises. Lead and manage incidents related to NEMS operations and ensure proper remediation or workarounds. Provide full support to Technology Operations & Service Management team to monitor and improve current operational tasks, processes and procedures (inclusive of BCP and DR) for operational efficiencies. Provide support for security incidents related to IT Infrastructure, work with Technology Security team to ensure timely escalation to management and coordinate with external agency and/or regulator on cybersecurity incident management. Continual operational monitoring to ensure no market rule breach. Quick resolution and future mitigation of any rule breach. The VP/AVP shall be always contactable for management escalation. Ensure the Technology Infrastructure team provides the budget estimation, business case, project concepts and scope so as to secure funding and approval from stakeholders. Manage the Technology infrastructure operating cost and capital spending within the approved budget. Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes. Technology Roadmap and Projects Establish technology roadmaps and technical architecture. Perform assessment and report on strategic or emerging technologies that can contribute to achievement of Company’s business objectives and profitability. Coordinate with Technology Applications team to rationalise and align business, data, application and technical architecture, ensure alignment to business objective. Work with Technology Security team to ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with business units and application team to identify process efficiency opportunities. Subsequently, develop and design automation processes to obtain such efficiencies where possible. Review the business/operations objectives and cost benefit analysis for all projects. Guide staff on project and vendor management, as well as improve their thought process. Responsible for Technology Infrastructure team’s project management methodology and standards. Review progress reports submitted by project managers and ensure timely reporting on project developments. Track and ensure all projects were delivered within schedule and budget. Provide necessary support to Business Development projects (i.e. pre- sales, training, project delivery). People Development Provide effective coaching, mentoring of staff, hands-on approach to issues, and guidance in problem handling and troubleshooting. Manage staff career and development plan for succession planning. Conduct performance counselling for poor performers. Handle employee relations issues such as conflicts, conduct and discipline, staff grievances. Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Review, improve IT procedures and processes to ensure smooth running of IT daily operations, e.g. change management control, resources backup plan, incident reporting. Maintain IT policy and acceptable usage policy. Accountable for Technology Risk Management. Ensure adherence to Enterprise/Technology/Cybersecurity risk management frameworks. Perform qualitative risk assessments and ensure closure for all items in the risk treatment plan; ensure KRIs set in the Enterprise Risk Management Plan are managed. Effective vendor management. Ensure and track performance of vendors and ensure stipulated contractual SLAs are met. Manage any deviance and ensure vendors perform appropriate actions and remediations. Manage and front internal/external auditors on the audit scope and timeline. Ensure timely closure on audit observations. Work with legal counsel to manage all requests from the regulator on information disclosure requirements by the regulators. Job Requirements Minimum Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or other engineering discipline Possess ITIL certification. Possessing DCDP certification would be an added advantage At least 12 years relevant work experience, with at least 6 years of management experience At least 6 years' experience in IT vendor management and management of competitive procurement process Excellent knowledge on technical standards and architecture Experienced in architectural design and implementation of large-scale IT projects of the following domains in Data Centre context: Middleware Architecture, Identity Access Management, Network architecture & Application infrastructure and frameworks Proficient with practical experience in security technology Experience in the planning and successful implementation of DRP and BCP for business-critical systems Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries Utilities Note: This listing is for Energy Market Company (subsidiary of SGX Group).
