Position: Principal / Centre Leader

What You'll Do:

Lead with Entrepreneurial Vision

  • Set and drive centre goals across enrolment, education quality, financial health, and employee engagement.

  • Identify new opportunities, solve problems proactively, and make data-informed decisions.

Operate Like a Business Owner

  • Manage centre budgets, enrolment targets, and profit/loss accountability.

  • Develop marketing strategies and execute outreach campaigns to grow enrolment and brand visibility.

Inspire and Grow a High-Performing Team

  • Recruit, coach, and retain passionate educators.

  • Foster a strong, positive team culture built on trust and excellence.

Deliver Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure full ECDA licensing compliance, uphold safety standards, and maintain a clean and child-friendly environment.

  • Lead curriculum implementation aligned with MapleBear's bilingual and inquiry-based frameworks.

Build Community and Stakeholder Relationships

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with parents and the local community.

  • Represent the centre during inspections, meetings, and public events.

What We're Looking For:

A confident and strategic leader with strong business acumen
An entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset and ownership mentality
Experience managing a team, driving enrolment, and overseeing finances
A trusted communicator who builds strong relationships with families and staff

Requirements:

· Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Leadership (DECCE-L) or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Centre Leadership (ADECL) or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA)

· Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Management, or a related field (preferred and advantageous)

· At least 7-10 years of experience in the preschool sector, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role

· Must meet ECDA's Centre Leader requirements, including the completion of relevant leadership training

· Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

· Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to drive results in enrolment, operations, and team development
