Overview Director of Business Operations & Special Projects (World Ageing Festival) — Ageing Asia Ageing Asia is Asia Pacific’s first industry alliance on the business of ageing. Through our flagship World Ageing Festival, international study tours, and industry collaborations, we are shaping the future of the longevity economy and positioning Singapore as a global hub for ageing innovation. We are seeking a Director of Business Operations & Strategic Projects — a proven operator and people leader who can serve as the engine room of the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and team leadership. Role Overview As the Director of Business Operations & Strategic Projects, you will: Act as the operational backbone of Ageing Asia — ensuring seamless execution of projects and initiatives across the business. Lead and align cross-functional teams, instilling discipline, accountability, and operational excellence. Take ownership of day-to-day operations, people management, and project delivery, progressively freeing up the CEO to focus on growth, partnerships, and thought leadership. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the CEO in a purpose-driven, fast-growing organisation at the forefront of Asia’s ageing transformation. Key Responsibilities Project & Strategic Leadership Lead all Ageing Asia initiatives, including the World Ageing Festival, international study tours, and community activations. Drive project timelines, interdependencies, and stakeholder alignment to deliver high-quality outcomes. Act as CEO’s execution partner — translating strategy into operational plans. Revenue Driven Mindset Towards Budget & Resource Management Manage project and operational budgets in line with the annual business plan. Support the sales team in revenue generation opportunities. Optimise resource allocation and track ROI across initiatives. Coach, motivate, and develop staff to build a high-performance culture for Ageing Asia. Directly manage project, marketing, and operations teams. Partner with the sales team to align delivery with commercial goals. Brief and manage external vendors and partners to deliver high-quality work. Quality Control & Brand Guardian Safeguard and elevate the Ageing Asia brand across events, marketing, and deliverables. Establish checkpoints to ensure best-in-class execution and brand consistency. Operations & Processes Own and refine systems, workflows, and reporting structures. Introduce best practices in project management, operational efficiency, and cross-team collaboration. Serve as the central coordination point for the organisation. Candidate Profile 8–12+ years’ experience in business operations, project management, or senior operations leadership (B2B events, trade shows, consulting, agency or related industries preferred). Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects and manage cross-functional teams. Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and resources. Excellent collaborator and communicator, able to influence at all levels. High attention to detail and quality, with a focus on continuous improvement. Why Join Us?
