What You Will Do

The Category Manager is responsible for logistics spend for the APAC region, especially for sub-categories International AIR/FCL/LCL/Parcel. Responsibilities include supplier scouting, selection, supplier management, price & contract negotiation, and working capital management. The Category Manager will deploy sub-category strategies in the specified region/country and will be the owner of assigned category or region/country cost reduction goals.

How You Will Do It

  • Develop category strategy for the responsible categories (International AIR/FCL/LCL/Parcel) for the APAC region.
  • Lead regional RFQs for International AIR/FCL/LCL/Parcel and transportation/warehouse/Customs brokerage RFQs for South Asia and ANZ countries.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and serve as the single contact window in the region.
  • Handle daily operations (PR to PO) in compliance with category strategies.
  • Negotiate long-term and spot contracts, manage contract lifecycle, and update before expiration.
  • Manage supplier performance including cost, delivery, quality, and service.
  • Drive year-over-year improvements in spend and working capital through negotiations and DPO management.
  • Implement process standardization and increase repeat buy percentage.
  • Support procurement from pre-bid to execution efficiently to support business growth.
  • Monitor and support procurement productivity projects to complete on schedule.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related Business field.
  • At least 5 years of sourcing/procurement experience and logistics industry experience.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and familiarity with contracting.
  • Knowledge of cost reduction methods and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external relationship management.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience working in multicultural and multifunctional teams.
  • Preferably experience in an innovative and cost-driven environment.
  • Honest and with integrity.
  • Proficient in English writing and reading.
  • Willing to travel.
