What we need Reporting to the Chief Product Officer and working closely with the CEO and executive leadership, the Vice President of Supply Chain will lead the company’s global procurement strategy across all data center development, customer delivery, and operational projects. This role will be responsible for shaping and executing a scalable, future-ready procurement function that supports Digital Edge’s rapid growth and regional expansion. The VP will drive strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and procurement governance across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives on cost, quality, sustainability, and risk mitigation. This role will be based in Singapore. Key responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a long-term supply chain vision aligned with Digital Edge’s infrastructure growth and sustainability goals. Lead the transformation of procurement into a strategic function that delivers competitive advantage and operational excellence. Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with C-level executives and business unit leaders to align procurement strategies with business priorities, product roadmaps, and capital planning. Serve as a key advisor on procurement-related risks, opportunities, and market dynamics. Global Contracting & Category Management: Develop and implement global contracting and category strategies for mission-critical infrastructure components and services (e.g., General Contractors, MEP systems, power, cooling). Drive strategic sourcing initiatives such as volume-based agreements to leverage regional scale and secure long-term supply. Align sourcing strategies with infrastructure growth plans and product roadmaps. Supplier Management & Negotiation: Establish and manage enterprise-wide framework agreements and supplier performance programs. Oversee high-value negotiations and strategic supplier relationships, ensuring optimal commercial terms, performance accountability, and innovation partnerships. Long-Lead Equipment Procurement: Oversee planning and execution for procurement of key long-lead items and critical spares ensuring integration with project timelines and providing flexibility across group for efficient utilization. Develop logistics and inventory strategies for high-risk components to support uptime and rapid response. Risk Management & Supply Chain Resilience: Identify and mitigate risks across the supply chain, including but not limited to Tier 2 supplier dependencies, raw materials volatility, geopolitical and regulatory risks. Implement supplier risk assessments, dual sourcing strategies, and business continuity plans. Monitor market trends and supply disruptions to proactively adjust sourcing plans. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including product, design, construction, and operations to translate technical and scheduling requirements into effective procurement strategies. Regional Procurement Strategy: Build and manage a scalable procurement framework across multiple jurisdictions in Asia Pacific, including sourcing strategies, vendor prequalification, and framework agreements. Governance, Systems & Supplier Assurance: Adhere to and further develop procurement governance standards, policies, and P2P processes to ensure transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency. Ensure adherence to anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) policies and conduct due diligence checks on suppliers and contractors. Implement and monitor supplier quality assurance programs, including audits, certifications, and corrective action plans. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage contractual risk, ethical sourcing, and supplier onboarding protocols. Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of in-country procurement professionals, providing strategic direction, oversight, and capability building while leveraging in-country insights. Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization. Promote ethical sourcing practices , sustainability goals, and responsible supplier engagement. The successful candidate Experience: 20+ years of experience in strategic procurement within construction or infrastructure sectors, preferably with exposure to mission-critical facilities such as data centers. Proven track record in managing procurement (source and destination) across range of Asia Pacific countries. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction procurement practices and equipment requirements specific to data center development and operations. Skills & Attributes: Executive presence and ability to lead transformation in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; Tenacity; Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability; Financial literacy; Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset; Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; Skilled at balancing regional standardization with local execution.
