Key Responsibilities

1. Division Leadership and Management

• Provide strategic direction and day-to-day oversight for the four departments under the Joint Operations Division.
• Coordinate and integrate workflows across departments to achieve operational alignment and service excellence.
• Lead and mentor department heads to ensure effective execution of departmental plans and staff development.

2. Consumer Relations

• Monitor trends in consumer issues and escalate systemic concerns for advocacy or policy intervention.
• Ensure consumer touchpoints are responsive, professional, and aligned with CASE's service standards.

3. CaseTrust

• Lead the administration and enhancement of the CaseTrust accreditation scheme, ensuring that standards are updated and businesses are assessed with integrity and rigour.
• Promote consumer confidence through engagement with accredited businesses and industry stakeholders.
• Identify new sectors for accreditation and drive programme development and outreach.

4. Operations Policy Development

• Provide supervisory oversight of the Operations Policy Development team and oversee the secretariat support for the Consumer Protection Review Panel, including research, policy drafting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Monitor and analyse macro-level consumer market and regulatory trends to support proactive policy development.
• Advise management on emerging risks and opportunities in the consumer protection landscape.

5. Legal and Data Protection

• Provide supervisory oversight of the Legal and Data Protection team, ensuring that all legal and compliance-related activities are managed efficiently and in alignment with organisational needs
• Ensure appropriate legal support is available for contract reviews, dispute resolution, and regulatory matters, including coordination with external legal counsel where necessary.

6. CASE Annual KPIs

• Coordinate the development and tracking of CASE's annual KPIs, in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Prepare performance reports, dashboards, and analytics for management and governance reporting.
• Identify performance gaps and propose action plans to meet organizational objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

• Educational Qualifications: Degree or Masters from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 5 years of experience leading medium- to large-sized teams, with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop department heads and staff.
• Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to provide clear direction, integrate workflows, and align multiple departments towards common organizational goals.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Competence in coordinating cross-functional teams for seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
• Programme Development: Experience in developing and rolling out new programmes, particularly in accreditation and outreach initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess sound judgement, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Policy Development: Understanding of policy research, drafting, and implementation processes, including the ability to monitor and analyze regulatory trends.
• Reporting and Documentation: Skilled in drafting policy documents, performance reports, and management dashboards.
• Performance Management: Knowledge of KPI development, performance tracking, and analytics for organizational effectiveness.
• Adaptability: Ability to respond effectively to evolving consumer issues and regulatory changes.
