We are looking for Service Leader – Housekeeping to join our team

Key Responsibilities:

General & Technical Knowledge

  • Demonstrates full understanding of the Shangri-La Experience and current corporate and hotel housekeeping service standards.
  • Understands the proper use and care of all housekeeping chemicals and equipment.
  • Familiar with the setup and servicing of guest rooms, including extra beds, baby cots, and playpens

Customer Loyalty

  • Notes, collects, and acts on guest preferences to enhance personalised service.
  • Maintains professional and caring interactions with guests, in line with hotel policies and procedures.

Operational Processes

  • Responds promptly to guest requests and runs errands as needed.
  • Properly uses and cares for housekeeping chemicals and equipment.
  • Cleans and sets up guest rooms, including extra beds and baby cots/playpens.
  • Manages guest loan items, ensuring they are clean, functional, and properly tracked.
  • Follows SOPs for handling master keys, pagers, and phones.
  • Reports any loss or damage of linen, furniture, fixtures, or equipment to the Service Manager – Housekeeping.
  • Identifies and reports maintenance deficiencies to the Service Manager – Housekeeping to ensure timely resolution.

People Management

  • Supervises and conducts training on a regular basis.
  • Assists performance reviews and coaches staff on improvement areas.
  • Assists in issuance of disciplinary action where required.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' working experience under the housekeeping department within the hospitality industry.
  • Has a pleasant disposition and passion in the hospitality industry.
