**Job Description & Requirements**

To perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of cranes and transport equipment with respect to its mechanical function and hydraulic control system. Maintain proper recording of each task undertaken, including the remedy action performed.

**Minimum Qualifications**

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level holder or equivalent with 2–3 years of experience in mechanical repair of cranes or related equipment.
  • NTC holder in Mechanical Engineering with 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Good track record with exposure to mechanical and hydraulic control systems. Experience in engine repair/maintenance is advantageous.
  • Analytical with a strong drive for results.
  • Pleasant personality and effective communication skills.
  • Team player and self-motivated.
  • Willing to work in a dynamic environment and build a career with a leading service provider for cranes and transport equipment.
  • Willing to travel overseas for job assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdown requests as instructed by supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze faults in cranes or transport equipment, then take corrective actions to recover equipment immediately.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and checks on cranes or transport equipment as scheduled.
  • Repair and recondition mechanical or hydraulic parts.
  • Complete and submit job record forms for each activity undertaken.
  • Work under the guidance of Mechanical Foreman, Service Supervisor, or Coordinator, seeking supervisor instruction when in doubt.
  • Keep the immediate supervisor informed of activities, results, problems, and potential issues; recommend corrective actions.
