Job Details Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Thomson, Georgia (facility) Duration: 13-week travel assignment Required Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Speech Language Pathology experience; New Grads are welcome to apply Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. The SLP develops and implements individualized treatment plans to enhance speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and caregivers to improve communication outcomes and quality of life. Essential Work Functions Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments and clinical observation Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain documentation in the electronic medical record Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing practices Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards Engage in quality assurance and professional development to stay current with best practices Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English Ability to read and follow written instructions; computer skills Physical ability to remain in position, move equipment, push/pull, and bend Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel Technical/motor skills for handling procedures and equipment Mental ability to manage deadlines, work under supervision when required, and handle irregular schedules Sensory ability to maintain visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance starting day one PTO after 1560 hours Life and short-term disability insurance 401(k) matching Aggressive refer-a-friend program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Why Choose Fusion?
