VP, Regional Trade Transformational Lead, Institutional Banking Group Operations (IBGO), Group COO Join to apply for the VP, Regional Trade Transformational Lead, Institutional Banking Group Operations (IBGO), Group COO role at DBS Bank Job Summary The Transformation Lead for Regional Trade will lead a team to manage projects and initiatives to improve Trade Finance processing, ensuring the solution is efficient and effective and aligned with DBS's strategic objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of trade products, processes, and regulatory requirements. Supported by a team of Subject Matter Experts and Testers, the lead will implement initiatives to streamline processing and support business outcomes from initiation through design, planning, execution, and operationalization. The team will collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, GTS, Technology, and Compliance in all markets. Responsibilities Lead the Regional trade operations project team to manage the project lifecycle for trade operations, including collaboration with GTS, Ops, tech and all stakeholders to prioritize project deliveries and track critical milestones. Embed the use of digital tools, generative AI, and new technologies to automate processing, achieve efficiency, and mitigate risks. Handle multiple projects concurrently, proactively identifying critical path, risk and mitigation plans. Lead review sessions with users and stakeholders, articulate and document user requirements, conduct trainings and operationalization plans. Work with stakeholders in different markets across the region to design process improvements and streamline processing. Lead and manage proper operation and innovation change management, driving operational efficiency and customer‑experience improvements in project delivery. Conduct post‑implementation reviews with users and resolve issues in a timely manner, continuously gathering feedback for improvements. Lead the regional testing team to conduct UAT and regression for trade project initiatives, ensuring testing quality. Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and providing regular updates to senior stakeholders. Manage, guide, and mentor project/squad team members and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in trade finance operations, with a focus on project management. Strong understanding of trade finance products. Strong people‑management skills, able to lead a team to run projects and manage testing effectively. Knowledge of international trade regulations and practices. Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in relevant software applications.
