Role Overview

As a Technician II, Tooling & Molding Operations , you will support high-quality medical device production by performing complex molding and tooling operations with minimal supervision. You will help ensure production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate molding tools and automated equipment independently.
  • Conduct quality inspections using gauges and fixtures; perform statistical monitoring to ensure standards are met.
  • Handle materials, perform mold changes, and changeovers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mold troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Conduct optical and mechanical tool inspections, line clearance, setup, and lens inspection.
  • Follow work instructions and adhere to GMP/GDP and GxP requirements.
  • Resolve production issues and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Complete required training and ensure regulatory compliance in all activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum NITEC in Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical skills in operating and troubleshooting molding equipment.
  • Experience with lens inspection, optical tools, mold changes, and precise measurements.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GDP, GxP, and SOPs.
  • Attention to detail with thorough documentation skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
