Technician II Quality Control Lab- Microbiology

This role is part of Alcon's Quality & Regulatory Affairs function, a team that ensures our products are in compliance with global, local, and internal regulations and meet the strictest standards of quality as we help people see brilliantly. Technician II, Quality Control Lab - Microbiology, is primarily responsible for handling complex microbiological tasks, analyzing samples, and developing methods to support product validation and compliance.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Handling complex microbiological tasks, supporting operations and contributing to efficiency within defined procedures
  • Analyzing various microbiological samples, ensuring accuracy and precision of analyses
  • Recommending corrective actions and developing methods to support product and process validation, product release, and compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Making minor decisions within the scope of tasks, requiring enhanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborating with affiliated departments to integrate lab results into the manufacturing process, driving problem-solving and innovation through scientific principles
  • Adhering to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training

Qualifications: Associate shall have the appropriate education and experience to successfully perform the responsibilities/activities of this role.
