This role is focused on relaunching and growing the online presence of an indie/electro/post-punk music project targeting the Latin American market. The project draws inspiration from UK bands and artists such as The Cure, The 1975, Phoenix, LCD Soundsystem, Rüfüs Du Sol, M83, and Interpol.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for auditing and cleaning up existing social channels, preparing for a cohesive relaunch, and executing a content and campaign strategy around upcoming single releases and a key live show in Buenos Aires. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to create a bilingual (English/Spanish) content system that engages both local and global audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit and clean up existing social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X/Twitter), removing or hiding off-brand or low-quality content.
  • Update bios, links, and banners to ensure a polished and consistent presence across all platforms.
  • Coordinate with the designer/animator to implement unified branding and visuals.
  • Develop and manage a posting schedule for Reels, Stories, posts, and short teasers using provided assets and live/show footage.
  • Plan and execute strategic campaigns for the first single release and the Buenos Aires live show.
  • Direct fan engagement efforts to grow Instagram and Spotify followings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing social media for musicians or bands, particularly in indie, alternative, or rock genres.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to create engaging captions and adapt tone for both Latin American and global audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to building and maintaining content systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with creative team members to ensure cohesive branding.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and best practices for audience growth.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
