Job Description

• Responsible to drive and establish Safety Culture
• To lead the Safety & Security functions effectively through proactive assessment and management of relevant risks across all SG operations and to actively innovate for continuous improvement
• Responsible for the sustainability strategy of SGBU while seeking alignment with the Group.
• Develop and implementing strategies to minimise SGBU's environmental impact, reduce waste and promote sustainable practices.
• Drive the development and implementation of business continuity guidelines and plans, processes and systems to effectively support the business' crisis management, business continuity & resilience program for all critical activities as required by regulatory requirements.

Safety and Security

  • Responsible to drive and establish Safety Culture
  • To lead the Safety & Security functions effectively through proactive assessment and management of relevant risks across all SG operations and to actively innovate for continuous improvement
  • Responsible for establishment and maintenance of comprehensive policies, standards, and procedures related to health, safety, security, and environmental practices within the business, fostering heightened safety awareness and ensuring compliance with facilities
  • Ensure alignment with nation and industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and corporate objectives
  • Be the strategic partner to keep senior management informed about Safety and Security scenarios that may possibility affect SG operations and actively offer insights and recommendations to enhance Safety & Security performance to proactively pursue early interventions and robust preventive measures to mitigate risk


Sustainability

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of sustainability strategies tailored and aligned to Group's goals.
  • Develop plans to enhance environmental, social and economic sustainability through identifying areas for improvement and setting measurable targets.
  • Ensure that SGBU complies with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for the promotion of social responsibility within SGBU.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability through the analysis of data, track progress towards goals and identify areas of improvement.

Business Continuity Plan

  • Drive the development and implementation of business continuity guidelines and plans, processes and systems to effectively support the business' crisis management, business continuity & resilience program for all critical activities as required by regulatory requirements.
  • Establish a governance structure for strategic planning and execution of all Business Continuity and Resilience elements, including identification and assessment of risk and potential business disruption scenarios, tracking of mitigation actions, maintenance of strategic plans, and monitoring of overall program health, in compliance with policy, standards, and procedures.
  • Develop relationships with external partners and collaborators such as emergency management agencies, utilities, and critical recovery service providers.

  • Drive collaboration and cohesiveness within the smaller and wider team.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant accreditation
  • MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) or in process of obtaining certification.
  • Min 10 years of safety strategy planning and management leadership and as a qualified safety officer and/or manager
  • Solid spoken and written communication skills
  • Current on industry and governmental regulations, and bring strong relationships with local government or private sector counterparts
  • An analytical mindset with ability to present and execute on actionable findings
  • An ability to develop a variety of complex policies and procedures with minimal supervision
  • Possess good problem solving/decision making, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Displays strong judgement, a well-grounded moral compass,
  • Executive presence to be able to influence leaders, drive positive outcomes
  • An ability to work cross-functionally, independently or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and driven to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet highly dynamic deadlines
