The client has a history of 360 years and is ranked as the fourth largest in the world. Role Our client is seeking a Vice President, Relationship Manager, Aviation Finance in the Banking sector. The role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global team, providing top‑tier service to existing and prospective clients while expanding the business on a product and global level. Purpose of the Job Originate and promote Aviation Finance (‘AF’) business to customers in the Asia Pacific (ex. Japan) region. Job Responsibilities Strategic: Originating and promoting AF business externally to customers in the APAC region; internally, growing and promoting AF as a global sector coverage team with internal stakeholders. Structuring, originating and executing deals by working closely with respective branches and other relative divisions to achieve team profit target and applicable KPIs. Customer: Managing and developing relationships with existing and prospective AF clients as sector coverage, originating mandates to lead debt issuance and arranging mandates including warehouse financings, portfolio financings, PDP financing, ABS‑type transactions, JOLCO financing, airline structured bonds (EETC private/public) and cross‑selling the organization’s full product suite (global markets, trade and transaction banking, DCM and deposits). People: Working and growing as a team, providing guidance to junior staff to enhance each individual’s and team’s potential and capabilities, liaising and managing relationships with various internal stakeholders, and contributing to GAFO as a global business platform. Other/Control: Ensuring transaction risk profile fits bank requirements, providing in-depth analysis and assessment of transactional risks, obtaining necessary credit approvals from Head Office, monitoring and ensuring credit compliance for executed transactions, and complying with relevant MAS regulations and applicable group policies. Job Requirements Degree Qualified Minimum 7 years’ work experience in banking industry, aircraft leasing, consultancy firms, or similar industry Experience in commercial Aviation Finance Proven track record of closing deals Well organised with an ability to work within tight timeframes and prioritising multiple tasks Attention to details and accuracy is essential Numerate with strong computer skills including thorough knowledge of MS Office programs Good team player and capable of working with cross‑border teams Excellent interpersonal and communications skills across all levels of an organisation – both oral and written Pro‑active and self‑motivated with a strong ability to work independently.
