Responsibilities Acquiring academic contents for books and journals in Engineering. Manage and develop assigned journals to improve their quality, impact, and profitability. Handle editorial workflow from signing agreements to publication, coordinating directly with authors, production teams, printers, and designers. Responsibilities also include project management, preparing necessary documentation, and generating reports. Cultivate positive relationships with authors, reviewers, editorial board members, key advisors, colleagues from various departments and other stakeholders to foster stronger collaboration. Conduct thorough evaluations of potential titles to ensure commercial viability, consistent and profitable revenue stream in line with company’s financial goals. Carry out research to track and interpret current market trends to identify emerging opportunities and prioritize publications that align with audience demands and industry developments, ensuring the portfolio remains competitive and relevant. Participate in marketing and promotion activities for books and journals. Any ad hoc projects when required and assigned. Requirements Degree in Science or Engineering is preferred. Candidates with degrees in non-science or non-engineering fields will also be considered if they possess relevant prior experience in academic publishing or related skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills across all organizational levels. Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and a sharp attention to detail.
