  • The Instrumentation Specialist is responsible for maintaining the instrumentation for all plant operations, including field installations and associated control devices. You will be tasked with developing maintenance and reliability plans related to the instrumentation systems. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of the plant's instrumentation systems and equipment. This includes low voltage electrical systems, Distributed Control System, and machinery controls. You will investigate instrumentation equipment failures and recommend actions to enhance system and equipment reliability. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing instrumentation equipment specifications, reliability improvements/upgrade plans, maintenance plans, and operating procedures. As a technical resource, you will collaborate with the maintenance team and have knowledge of electrical area classifications and acceptable methods for equipment installations in hazardous areas.To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree (EIE / ICE) with 2-3 years of experience in the industry. Experience in instrument engineering within a manufacturing plant is required. You should be able to work effectively with a cross-functional team and personnel at different levels of engineering, maintenance, management, internal customers, and suppliers. Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of DCS, transmitters, flowmeters, control/on-off valves, field instruments, SAP, and experience in chemical production units are also necessary.
