Job Title: Instrumentation and Control Specialist

Job Description:

As an Instrumentation and Control Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our industrial processes. Your expertise will be crucial in designing, installing, testing, and maintaining complex instrumentation systems.

You will work closely with production and maintenance teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce instrument maintenance costs while increasing availability and functionality.

Responsibilities include liaising with external stakeholders, preparing and updating instrument maintenance procedures, conducting root cause analysis, and carrying out MOCs projects to resolve and improve instrument reliability and operational issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Professional accreditation or affiliation to professional bodies of engineers will be an advantage
  • Possesses at least eight years of practical experience in an instrument & control maintenance / design function in an industrial setting
  • Conversant with local codes, regulations and submission procedures, and must possess expert knowledge of electrical & instrument international engineering design
  • Experience in functional safety for the process industry as per IEC 61511
  • Candidates with PLC programming software and languages and able to troubleshoot third-party equipment issues through program debugging
