Director, Clinical Site Budget Planning and Strategy
General Description: The Director of Clinical Site Budget Planning and Strategy will be responsible for partnering with leaders across Clinical Business Operations (CBO) to optimize the value of our Investigator Budget Management portfolio. The role reports to the head of the Clinical Site Budget team and collaborates with other team members to oversee the clinical site budget data analytic strategy, drive end-to-end strategic projects related to trial level budget development enhancements, benchmarking analysis and assessment, as well as contract negotiation strategy with operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities- Integration: Lead the integration, management, and alignment of all IPM data sources and systems. Foster strategic partnerships with CBO LT and cross-functional partners to deliver centralized data and technology tools to optimize value. Deliver a reporting and analytics system for IPM with comprehensive dashboards for stakeholders and ad hoc data analysis. Address ad hoc business questions using IPM data.
- Optimization: Provide accurate, timely insights including dashboards and real-time reports to ensure transparency into the IPM portfolio. Identify and implement new technology and automation to optimize budget development, FMV analysis, and site payment workflows.
- Automation: Develop and implement best practices to retire manual processes by automating workflows. Support strategic initiatives and lead modules within complex cross-functional programs, driving problem-solving and pragmatic recommendations.
- Modernization: Monitor external market trends and technologies to enable cutting-edge site payment and clinical budget development. Lead the creation of an innovation roadmap and promote cross-functional collaboration. Define and execute IPM strategy with ICM to modernize workflows.
- Supervisory: Manage and coordinate team efforts to deliver on CBO objectives.
Education : BA required; MBA or equivalent Master’s degree is a bonus.
Experience: 12+ years in pharmaceutical/Life Sciences is preferred.
Computer Skills : Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Smartsheet, SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI; familiarity with Python and JavaScript.
Other Qualifications : 12+ years of pharma/Life Sciences experience; prior leadership and people management; track record in innovation, transformation, and project management; experience with EDC, CTMS, and CLM tools (e.g., SAP Apttus or Agiloft); strong clinical operations knowledge; 8+ years in project/program management with PMI certification preferred; ability to work in fast-paced, complex environments; demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and strategic partnership skills; ability to drive growth and modernization of operations.
